Description
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 09.00 and after an abundant hour drive you will reach Imlil.
In Imlil you will meet Houssine and his team who will walk you (10 min) to the local family that will host you for your morning cooking class chez l’habitant: you will learn how to prepare a genuine berber tajine with meat and fresh vegetables.
Once your tajine is on the stove and you are waiting for your meal to get ready you have two options:
– for those wishing to enjoy the tranquillity of the place and learn more about the Berber culture with your local family, you will be taught how to prepare the typical Moroccan tea with plenty of fresh mountain herbs that you will personally pick from the garden;
– for those longing to stretch their legs, there is the possibility to break the wait with a trek (1h 30 min approx) along the Imlil valley to discover the berber villages and enjoy the amazing panorama of the surrounding Atlas Mountains;
After lunch you will be driven by car via the sceninc route crossing the Kik Plateau, a rocky limestone outcropping with inspiring views of the region, ending at the Lalla Takertkoust artificial lake before heading back to Marrakech at around 17.00.
